Salary: $18/hr. DOE

As a Laboratory Technician, you will:

• Receipt of finished goods samples from production floor
• Calibration/documentation of all instruments involved in testing
• In-line checks for the production line
• Production line clearance at the end of each shift
• Preparation of samples to be sent out of house
• Physical testing of finished goods samples, including pH, Volume, Brix, Specific Gravity, and other tests as necessary
• Managing retention samples of finished goods
• Environmental testing according to the environmental monitoring program
• Air quality analysis sampling and testing
• Water quality analysis sampling and testing
• Surface swab sampling and testing
• Drain swab sampling and testing
• Cleaning and verifying accuracy of thermometers used on production lines
• Documentation of service performed
• Laboratory cleaning and organization
• Overtime work, as needed
• Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

• The ability read, speak and understand basic English
• Must possess oral / written communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities
• Must be proficient in basic math and calculations
• Must be able to work on their feet for multiple hours
• Follow GMP standards and guidelines
• Understand and apply information set forth in SOPs
• Handle confidential information
• Ability to cross train in 2 or more areas within the Quality Department
• Experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Food/Supplement Production is a plus
• Experience in biology, chemistry, lab work, etc. is a plus
• Flexible schedule, including working early mornings or overnight shifts, as needed
