DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Medical Records Assistant (MRA) position distributes forensic continuity of care documents, transcribes dictated reports, and completes Medicare billing. Work includes completing release of information and correspondence requests, assembling and analyzing discharge medical records, assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT codes, chart reviews, database entry and other general medical record functions. These duties include compliance with both internal and external privacy and confidentiality guidelines and requirements such as HIPAA, Pennsylvania Mental Health Procedures, and Drug and Alcohol regulations. In this role, it will be your responsibility to ensure that all patient information is stored and retrieved efficiently and effectively.
