Sexual Health Clinic Provider We are seeking a dedicated
Sexual Health Clinic Provider passionate about improving public health and addressing the HIV, Hep C, and STI epidemics. This exciting part-time opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with the CDC and provide care to our underserved communities here in Aiken and surrounding counties. This position is to be considered as a .5 with the opportunity to expand to a full-time role should applicants be interested in splitting time between the Sexual Health Clinic and one of our other clinical departments.
Key Responsibilities: - Public Health Impact: Provide high-quality care focused on HIV, Hep C, and STI prevention and treatment. Respond to new outbreaks, such as mpox and other emerging sexually transmitted infections. Help reduce infection rates, educate patients on prevention options, and ensure they receive evidence-based care.
- CDC Collaboration: Work closely with national public health leaders on innovative prevention strategies and treatment protocols.
- Patient-Centered Care: Engage in open, non-judgmental conversations about sexual health with patients from diverse backgrounds. Perform pelvic and genital exams as part of comprehensive care.
- Prevention Expertise: Educate and prescribe prevention strategies, such as PrEP and DoxyPEP, to reduce the risk of HIV and STIs.
- Underserved Populations: Provide compassionate care to LGBTQ individuals, people who inject drugs, incarcerated individuals, and those experiencing homelessness.
Qualifications: - Licensed MD, NP, or PA with experience or interest in sexual health.
- Knowledge of HIV, Hep C, and STI prevention and treatment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to engage in continuing education and adapt to new developments in sexual health care.
- Commitment to health equity and providing care to underserved populations.
