  Job Title: Staff Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Onsite in Dallas, TX
Pay Range: $30-32/hr. via W2
Jefferson Wells is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity to join our client’s accounting department located in Dallas, TX. The selected candidate must work fully onsite during the training period and will have the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule thereafter.
Responsibilities : 

• Reconciliation and Reporting:
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct cash and bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• General Ledger and System Support:
  • Maintain the General Ledger with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in the transition to NetSuite and the conversion to Truist bank.
• Data Analysis and Process Improvement:
  • Utilize intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, for data analysis and reporting.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Provide general support to the accounting team in a small team environment.
  • Handle additional accounting tasks as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables.
• Familiarity with NetSuite and system conversion processes is a significant advantage.
• Willingness to start fully onsite with potential for a hybrid work schedule as you become acclimated.

• Full-time Contract 2-6 months in duration.
• Pathway to permanent employment with a competitive salary upon conversion ($65,000/yr.).
