**Task Force General Manager**

**Location:** Orlando, FL, USA

**Position Overview:**

As a Task Force General Manager, you will be the face of our company, embodying our values and vision. This role involves overseeing all aspects of operations for your assigned property, providing leadership, support, and guidance to your management team and frontline associates. Your primary focus will be on optimizing financial performance, maintaining high-quality products and services, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards. This position requires extensive travel, with approximately 90% of the job being remote.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Establish priorities and lead key operational initiatives, including sales planning, budget development, and physical property improvement projects.
- Provide hands-on leadership to maximize revenue and control expenses effectively.
- Serve as the primary liaison for communications with guests, clients, associates, ownership, corporate representatives, brand representatives, and key vendors.
- Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor in all interactions with guests and employees.
- Ensure regular attendance and compliance with company standards.
- Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, adhering to the company dress code and wearing a name tag as required.
- Comply with and enforce company standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including client meetings, hosting events, and daily interactions with key contacts.
- Conduct daily tours of operating departments and make necessary adjustments through department heads.
- Lead weekly staff meetings and training sessions, focusing on sales and operational efforts.
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate-directed programs in a timely manner.
- Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and available supervisors.
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and standard accounting procedures.
- Develop managers for future advancement through competency training and corporate-sponsored programs.
- Maintain direct contact with and monitor the development of management trainees.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, and train new managers to ensure compliance.
- Oversee and assist in the company budget process as required.
- Ensure training in service standards is taking place in each department.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on guest satisfaction through employee development and motivation.
- Inspect rooms daily with the Housekeeping Manager and Property Engineer.
- Ensure the complete processing of invoices daily using the A/P process.
- Ensure all appropriate financial information is received by the Corporate Office monthly.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property through inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
- Ensure employees are attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient in their interactions with guests and colleagues.
- Forecast the hotel's monthly financial position by estimating revenues and expenses.
- Prepare and conduct all management interviews and follow hiring procedures according to company standards.
- Interview all prospective final candidates for vacant positions before any offer is extended.
- Perform all department manager performance appraisals according to company standards.
- Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline all management personnel according to company standards.
- Maintain professional working relationships and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees, and other departments.
- Ensure all employees receive fair and equitable treatment according to company standards.
- Meet all sales clients on the property, including potential clients, to assist in the sales effort.
- Be present in public areas during peak times, greeting guests and offering assistance as needed.
- Maintain procedures for handling the hotel safe, focusing on security, and conduct monthly safe audits.
- Conduct bi-monthly credit meetings and take an active role in hotel credit and collection policies.
- Complete required corporate training modules and become certified to train others as required.
- Ensure all scheduled meetings take place on the property.

**Qualifications:**

- At least 4 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, or a college degree with at least 2 years of related experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Valid driver's license and ability to fly and rent vehicles for travel requirements.
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Effective in handling workplace problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving issues as necessary.
- Ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources and adjust to meet constraints.
- Effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
