Job Description: Temporary Tax Preparer (2025 Tax Season)

Location: 100% Onsite in Oklahoma City, OK

Pay: $20+/hr, DOE

Duration: January 2025 – April 15, 2025

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team for the 2025 tax season. This temporary position is ideal for a tax professional comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and preparing a variety of tax returns with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare 350-400 tax returns during the tax season, including:
• Small business returns
• Rental property and farm returns
• Individual income tax returns
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
• Utilize tax software (experience with Drake software is a plus) to prepare and file returns accurately.
• Conduct client consultations to gather financial information and documentation.
• Identify deductions, credits, and strategies to minimize tax liability.
• Review and verify all financial data provided by clients for accuracy and completeness.
• Address and resolve any client questions or concerns regarding their returns.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience preparing small business, rental property, farm, and individual tax returns.
• Knowledge of current federal and state tax codes.
• Experience with Drake software preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a high-volume setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction.
• Ability to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.
