In this rewarding role, you will:

    \n
  • Perform routine procedures to obtain claimant’s medical history, record vital signs and complete lab requisitions 
  • \n
  • Perform standard diagnostic procedures accurately, efficiently, and with the highest quality including but not limited to: 12-lead electrocardiograms, proficient venipuncture, and collection of and preparation of lab specimens for laboratory courier, pulmonary function test (PFTs), arterial flow Doppler studies, and other clinical diagnostic studies assigned to meet the needs of the organization

  • Identify CDC travel recommendations, and provide with after-visit summary for travel exams
  • \n
  • Prepare and give medications as ordered and verified by provider
  • \n
  • Perform housekeeping functions such as: changing exam room table paper, disinfecting surfaces, upkeep of tidiness of the entire clinic (exam rooms, bathrooms, waiting area, front office, lab room, etc.), ensuring all equipment is clean and presentable 
  • \n
  • Chaperone during an examination 
  • \n
  • If fluent in other languages, assist claimants and providers with translation of questionnaire forms or during evaluation, as necessary and to the limit allowed by qualifications
  • \n
  • Be responsible for front office duties such as: answering telephones, scheduling and confirming appointments, preparing schedules, data entry (including referral contracts, post appointment information), and filing
  • \n
  • Review computerized worksheets manually completed by claimants 
  • \n
  • Review and edit reports in proprietary software application to ensure accuracy in context. Reviews grammar and spelling in all areas for accuracy and consistency. This will be accomplished through review of computerized worksheets, doctor’s notes, and verifying information through dialogue with provider 
  • \n
  • Review each exam report for accuracy prior to submission to the provider for final review and approval 
  • \n
  • Assist in the retrieval of diagnostic tests for scanning into propriety software application 
  • \n
  • Interface with operational teams and assist in the provision of medical records 
  • \n
  • Work with providers and operational teams to ensure reports are submitted timely and accurately 
  • \n
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of reports for all lines of business 
  • \n
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • \n
  • Be adept in clinical competencies including accurate vital signs, venipuncture, administering EKG, spirometry, and injections (intra-muscular, sub-cutaneous and intra-dermal)
  • \n
  • Be knowledgeable of sterile technique, and how to don, doff, and store N95 mask in order to pass a respiratory fit test
  • \n
  • Have a high level of detail by the ability to identify mistakes or inconsistencies in medical reports and clinical diagnostic tests
  • \n
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • \n
  • Have knowledge of medical terminology and its applications
  • \n
  • Have knowledge of EMR and MS Office Suite software applications
  • \n
  • Have the ability to organize, plan, and coordinate multiple tasks with a high sense of urgency and follow-through
  • \n
  • Have the ability to work both in a team environment as well as independently
  • \n
  • Have exceptional Customer Service skills that will enhance the interaction with the providers, operational teams, and clients
  • \n
  • Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • \n
  • Have the ability to demonstrate an understanding of applicable policies and procedures
  • \n

You must have:

\n
    \n
  • A high School diploma, or equivalent (GED)
  • \n
  • An Associates degree in Medical Assisting and/or graduation from an accredited vocational Medical Assistant program
  • \n
  • Medical Assistant Certification/Registration or meet state requirements
  • \n
  • Current use and proficiency of/in Manual Vitals, EKGs, Blood Draws, and Venipuncture 
  • \n
  • 3+ years of hands on clinical experience in Primary Care, Family Care, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care or ER as a Medical Assistant
  • \n
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider with the American Heart Association certification
  • \n
  • Permanent residency in OR & MN (not hiring elsewhere this time)
  • \n
  • A valid U.S. Driver’s License and ability/willingness to drive between work locations
  • \n
  • Must reside within 50 miles (or less) of a major US airport
  • \n
  • The ability to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation
  • \n

Hourly Range is determined by Level (commensurate with experience) and location (State, County) as follows:

Oregon

\n

Level II = $23.96 (1-3 years of exp.)
Level III = $23.96 - $24.99 (3-5 years of exp.)
Level IV = $23.96 - $29.70 (5+ years of exp.)

Minnesota

\n

Level II = $24.33 (1-3 years of exp.)
Level III = $24.33 - $26.05 (3-5 years of exp.)
Level IV = $24.33 - $26.05 (5+ years of exp.)

Including eligibility for quarterly bonuses up to 6%

\n

This role may fall under the Service Contract Act (SCA), a federal law which provides for a U.S. Department of Labor-prescribed minimum prevailing rate of pay and certain benefit levels.
