As a Lifeguard you will:

• Monitor guest activity in pool and waterpark area to ensure safe use of the pool.
• Apply and enforce pool rules and regulations consistently.
• Assist distressed swimmers in emergency swimming situations.
• Coordinate emergency procedures and provide first aid in emergency situations as trained and authorized.
• Respond to guest inquiries and provide resort information upon request.
• Practice safe work habits wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.

Requirements

• Lifeguards must be an expert swimmer be in excellent physical condition and be able to react quickly in emergency situations
• High School Degree or equivalent is required
• Must be American Red Cross Lifeguard CPR First Aid and AED Certified and provide valid certifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak effectively with guests and other team members
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and lift and/or move up to/over 100 pounds with assistance
• Must be able to work in wet humid and outdoor weather conditions and extreme heat and sun exposure

• Required to pass a background check drug test and prove eligibility to work in the United States
