This is a remote, contract to hire position in the Accounting + Finance industry. Job Details As a Consulting (to permanent) Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Performing bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
2. Managing fixed assets accounting, including depreciation schedules.
3. Preparing and posting journal entries to update the general ledger.
4. Processing payroll entries and ensuring accurate and timely payroll.
5. Handling billing tasks, including preparing invoices and following up on payments.
6. Utilizing Deltek software for various accounting tasks.
7. Providing external audit support and ensuring all financial records are in compliance with accounting standards.
8. Providing support for DCMA/DCAA and CPA audits, including preparing necessary documents and responding to audit inquiries.
9. Collaborating with the accounting team to improve financial processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on bank reconciliations, fixed assets, journal entries, payroll entries, billing, and external audit support.
3. Proficiency in using Deltek software for accounting tasks.
4. Experience in providing support for DCMA/DCAA and CPA audits.
5. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
6. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
